Kintsugi’s Deel integration syncs team-member locations and employment data to help businesses monitor physical nexus from hiring and relocation.

Kintsugi’s integration with Deel helps businesses manage the sales-tax implications of hiring and employment. A company’s first hire in a jurisdiction may contribute to physical nexus, so workforce location is an important compliance signal.

## How It Works

Kintsugi syncs team-member data from Deel, including hire date, work location, and employment type. Kintsugi’s sales-tax rules engine uses that data to help determine whether physical nexus may exist and provides details such as an exposure date.

Businesses can receive notifications when new hires or relocations create potential physical presence. After reviewing the result, they can register and begin filing where required.

## Getting Started

1. Create or log in to a Kintsugi organization.
2. Open **Data Sources** and select **Browse Integrations**.
3. Select **Connect** on the Deel card.
4. Authorize access and allow the confirmation prompt.
5. Return to Kintsugi and confirm Deel appears under **Manage Integrations**.

### Monitoring an Existing Integration

Open **Data Sources > Manage Integrations** to check whether the Deel connection is active. When active, team-member data can sync according to the integration’s configuration. To deactivate it, use the three-dots menu for the integration.
