Economic Nexus Calculator
Enter your sales by state, or upload a CSV, to see which economic nexus thresholds you've crossed and which you're getting close to. It runs in your browser, so nothing you enter leaves your device.
1. Where do you sell?
Pick states here or on the map, or upload a CSV of your sales by state.
CSV columns: state, sales, transactions, and an optional office column (yes or no) for an office, employee or inventory in the state. State names or two-letter codes both work. The file is read in your browser and never uploaded. Download a sample CSV

How economic nexus thresholds work
Economic nexus is the sales tax obligation a remote seller takes on by selling more than a state's threshold into it, with no office, staff or inventory there. Since South Dakota v. Wayfair (2018), all 45 states with a statewide sales tax and Washington, D.C. set one, most often $100,000 in sales over the current or previous calendar year. 29 states use a sales test only, 15 (including DC) also count transactions, and Connecticut and New York require both. Every threshold in the calculator comes from our economic nexus by state table, last verified 26 September 2026.
