Kintsugi, a fully-automated sales tax compliance solution, has launched its integration with Deel to simplify managing the sales tax implications of hiring and employment.

We sync your team members’ data, including hire date, work location, and employment type, from Deel. Our sales tax rule engine uses this data to determine if you’ve met physical nexus in a jurisdiction, providing details such as the nexus exposure date.

You’ll also receive notifications about any triggered physical presence due to new hires or relocations, ensuring you stay on top of your nexus exposure.

Our sales tax rule engine uses the data synced from Deel to determine if you’ve met physical nexus in a jurisdiction and also provides details such as the nexus exposure date. You can then register in the jurisdiction and start filing sales tax.

You can also utilize automation features to put registrations and filings on autopilot.

Getting Started

1. Go to http://trykintsugi.com and click ‘Sign up’ to create an account
2. Integrate your Deel account by navigating to ‘Data Sources,’ and start monitoring your exposure for free. This integration lets you sync employee and contractor state locations.

Connecting a new Deel account

Login to your Kintsugi organization and visit the 'Data Sources' page.

Click on 'Browse Integrations.' Then click the ‘Connect' button on the 'Deel’ card.

Authorize the access by clicking on ‘Authorize.’ And then click 'Allow' on the confirmation pop-up.

You’ll be redirected back to the Kintsugi organization, and you’ll see a confirmation message. Additionally, you’ll now see Deel in the ‘Manage Integrations' section on the same 'Data Sources’ page.

Monitoring an existing integration

You can check if your integration is active in the ‘Manage Integrations' section on the ‘Data Sources' page. If it is 'Active,' team members’ data will be synced in real-time.

To deactivate an integration, click the 'Deactivate' button under the three dots menu corresponding to it.
