JMXi is a global IT consulting firm based in Florida, serving clients from small businesses to Fortune 500 companies. As JMXi grew, its sales tax obligations grew with it.
The team had used TaxJar but struggled with accuracy, unclear registrations, and support that was difficult to reach. JMXi switched to Kintsugi in February 2026.
Starting fresh
Kintsugi audited JMXi’s sales tax history, identified a state where it did not need to be registered, completed two registrations that had stalled, and found money owed back to JMXi from earlier errors.
The QuickBooks integration took less than fifteen minutes. Kintsugi also handles dedicated mail for tax correspondence, so the JMXi team no longer has to act as the communications middleman.
A clearer dashboard
When new products need tax classification, Kintsugi flags them and guides the team through the process. The platform also monitors JMXi’s UK activity and provides guidance on when registration and collection may become necessary.
“Kintsugi’s approach is more personalized. I enjoy the customer service, the ability to reach a live person, and not having to do everything via email.”
