Automated filing
One return per jurisdiction, prepared on schedule
For every jurisdiction where you’re registered, Kintsugi prepares the return from your connected transaction data and files it by the due date, no matter how many states or countries that adds up to. You don’t track individual due dates or portal logins across a spreadsheet; Kintsugi tracks the calendar and does the filing.

Remittance
Filing the return is only half the job
Filing a return and paying what it says you owe are two different failure points; Kintsugi closes both. Once a return is filed, Kintsugi remits the corresponding payment to that jurisdiction on your behalf, on time, so a late payment doesn’t undo an on-time filing.

Return filed
Prepared from your connected transaction data and submitted by the jurisdiction’s due date.
Payment remitted
The amount owed is sent to the jurisdiction on your behalf. It’s the second half of the same on-time cycle.
Review
You see the return before it’s filed
Filing runs on automation, but the return itself isn’t a black box: it follows the same pattern as every other action Kintsugi automates on your behalf, so you can see what’s about to be filed before it goes out, not just after. Reviewing a prepared filing is one of the task types you can complete from your phone.

Use-tax filings
Filed the way the underlying registration requires
Where a registration covers use tax as well as sales tax, Kintsugi files it the way that jurisdiction actually requires: a standalone use-tax return, or combined with the sales tax return, following the same registration’s filing cadence rather than a separate schedule.

International filings
The same discipline, outside the US
Across 100+ countries, including Canada, the UK, and the EU, Kintsugi extends the same prepare-file-remit cycle to VAT and GST returns, including filings under the EU’s One Stop Shop (OSS) scheme. Coverage varies by market: what “filing” means in a given country isn’t identical to what it means for a US state, and fiscal-representative markets like Mexico and Serbia work differently again, but Kintsugi will guide you through what’s required there.
