When you have to collect Colorado sales tax

A remote seller has to register and collect Colorado sales tax once its sales into the state meet the economic nexus threshold: $100,000 in sales in the current or previous calendar year, per the state tax agency. A physical presence such as an office, employees or inventory creates nexus on its own. The Colorado sales tax guide covers registration and filing once you do.
