Over the past few years, you’ve been asked to adopt a lot of new software: new logins, new dashboards, new workflows to learn. This fall, our focus has been on meeting you in the tools you already use.
That starts with the Kintsugi MCP server, which brings your live compliance data into Claude and ChatGPT. It continues with use tax, now managed right next to your sales tax, and our new Intuit Enterprise Suite integration. And through the BDO Alliance USA, we’re bringing Kintsugi’s compliance services to its members and their clients. You’ll find more on each below.
If you’re heading to Intuit Connect or SuiteWorld, come find us. We’d love to hear what you’re working on.

Join Us for Whiskey at SuiteWorld
Heading to SuiteWorld in Las Vegas? Join us Monday, October 26 for a whiskey tasting at Caesars Palace, co-hosted with Vertex. Enjoy Pappy Van Winkle and other hard-to-find pours, small bites, and good company with NetSuite customers and partners. Space is limited.
▶️Register ahead to save your spot
While you’re there, stop by the Vertex booth (#1041, near the SuiteStore) to see Kintsugi powered by Vertex. It pairs Vertex’s enterprise-grade tax engine with Kintsugi’s modern interface to deliver real-time calculation, registration, filing, remittance, and exemption management for your NetSuite business.
New Integrations
🔷 Kintsugi now integrates with Intuit Enterprise Suite. Built for mid-market businesses running more than one legal entity, the integration calculates tax in real time on your Intuit Enterprise Suite invoices and handles registrations, filings, and remittance. Each entity connects separately, with its own data and its own compliance tracking, so every entity stays clean at close.
🔷 Kill Bill, Odoo, and Hyperline users can now turn on Kintsugi’s tax engine, including nexus monitoring, registration and filing, and exemption certificate management. Kintsugi calculates tax directly on your invoices, and the tax you bill matches the tax you file.
Platform Updates
🔷 Ask Claude or ChatGPT about your compliance data. The Kintsugi MCP server is a secure, read-only connection that lets you ask questions like “Which states am I approaching nexus in?” or “What filings are due this month?” and get answers from your live account, not a generic explanation. Connecting takes about two minutes with your existing Kintsugi login.
🔷 Use tax now lives right next to your sales tax. It’s especially timely as California begins taxing SaaS and prewritten software on January 1, 2027.
🔷 Kintsugi has joined the BDO Alliance USA Vendor Marketing Program. Independent member firms and their clients now have direct access to real-time nexus monitoring, automated multistate tax calculation, and filing and remittance, with a human in the loop to ensure accuracy.
🔷 Uploading sales transactions by file is now faster. Pick your source, download the template, and upload a CSV or XLSX file. Kintsugi shows you on screen how many rows came in, how many passed, and how many need attention. It’s ideal for historical imports or platforms Kintsugi doesn’t integrate with yet.
Success Stories
TheGrint runs a golf app with SaaS subscriptions sold through Stripe and a hard goods business on Shopify. That meant two sales channels, different product categories, and different tax treatments, all managed through a private tax attorney and manual processes. Kintsugi brought both channels together, helped correct past gaps during the transition, and now handles registration and filing in all 31 of their states. Monthly sales tax work dropped from 5 to 7 hours to roughly 1 to 2.
“I’m surprised at how hands-off I can be,” said James Brunone, VP of Hard Goods & Commercial Strategy.

Ask Kintsugi
Real questions, answered by our tax experts.
🤔 How long does it take to import my data into Kintsugi?
💡 It depends on the method and how much data you have. Manual CSV uploads typically take minutes. A first-time integration sync usually takes a few minutes to a few hours, while large historical imports can take 2 to 3 days because of API limits on some platforms. That’s expected, not a sign something’s wrong. You can check progress anytime under Data Sources > Manage Integrations. “Syncing” means it’s in progress, and “Read-Only” means your data is ready to review. You can keep using Kintsugi while it runs.
